Research at the IFF is oriented towards the needs that come up with today's turbulent economic changes IFF. The time span from basic developments of new methods and technologies until industrial usage is a decisive competitive factor. Only through interdisciplinary cooperation new technologies prevail and information and communication technology enhances distributed, integrated and virtual structures. This is the challenge for the university institute IFF whichs strength lies in the pursuit of central development lines in production technology and in cooperation.
